A quiet, materially-rich retreat in Bexley.
Composite-deck outdoor entertaining area, frosted-glass balustrade, plus full bathroom renovation
Set on a tight Bexley block in Sydney's St George district, this project re-imagined a tired backyard and family bathroom as a single connected indoor-outdoor scheme.
The new outdoor zone runs warm composite decking against existing face brick, edged with frosted-glass balustrade that catches the sky and keeps the boundary feeling light. The transition between the brick courtyard and timber deck was detailed in elevation so the step reads as an intentional bench, not an obstacle.
Inside, the bathroom was fully stripped and rebuilt. A timber-veneer vanity grounds the small space, with crisp white wall tile, a matte-black framed shower screen and clean chrome tapware — quiet, durable, easy to maintain.
